Get skilled up at FROUTEVILLE.  The following workshops are led by passionate makers, foodies and music lovers.  They know their stuff and happy to pass it on to you (lucky us!).  Location of workshops will be updated closer to festival day.

BASKETRY with Adrienne Kneebone

 

Weaving workshop suitable for beginners through to those with experience. Using mostly foraged forest foliage, take some time out to get started on your take-home basket

cost: $20 per person

schedule: 10.30am - 12.30pm

you need to bring: nothing! unless you have something in particular you want to weave

CHEESE BASICS with Four Rivers Cheese

 

Learn to make ricotta and bocconcini cheese with this hands-on workshop with Four Rivers Cheese.  Workshop will finish with a hearty, cheesy lunch

cost: $52

schedule: 11am - 12.30pm

where: Brackenbush kitchen

you will learn: heating of milk for various cheeses, creating curd, hooping and stretching bocconcini

BOOK FLOOD

 

Create individual art books and help FROUTEVILLE build a hanging library. Participants are invited to fill the pages of their art book using any of the several workshops available; collage, screen-printing, painting and nature collecting.  Book FLOOD is supported by East Gippsland Art Gallery. Blank art books are available front gate or book tree site

cost: free

schedule: from 10am. workshops are drop in

you need to bring: an idea or two

your finished art book can be collected when leaving frouteville OR pick up can be arranged post-frouteville

FERMENTING FOOD with Monique Miller

 

Monique is returning to FROUTEVILLE (yay!) to show us the art of fermenting food. The workshop will cover preparation basics of chopping and the fermentation culture. All ingredients and jars supplied

cost: $10

when: 1.30pm - 3.30pm

you need to bring: an apron if you want

no booking required, however, numbers are limited to 10 people.  see front gate for news of a second workshop

MARIMBAS with Peter May

 

Marimbas, large wooden xylophones, make it possible for everyone to be a musician. Come and make music with us

schedule: 1pm - 2.30pm

you need to bring: nothing. instruments are supplied

no booking required but numbers maybe limited

COME FLY WITH YOUR FAMILY with Mim and Ben

Come fly with your family and create a kite. This workshop will be a creative kids space where anything goes, mistakes are rad, and there's stacks of room for experimentation. Kites are made from recycled and found stuff
